Recommend This Therapist

There are times when therapy provides a sanctuary in which we may join together in a trusting, professional, yet personal relationship with another human being to search out and work through the distresses that prevent us from living a fulfilling life. In my practice I'll work with you to create a relationship of trust and to build a therapeutic sanctuary. From this place we will begin to dissolve the barriers that prevent you from thriving.

I employ an Integrative-Depth approach to psychotherapy that values self-awareness, life-long growth and development, life meaning, and depth in intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships. My approach is aligned with the thought and teaching of the Swiss psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and cultural anthropologist Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961).

A "depth" perspective to psychotherapy and counseling views psychological symptoms and suffering as evidence that people are trying to heal, even in their difficulty. Similar to other models, the therapeutic relationship itself is seen as a healing force. Emphasis is placed on the importance of symbols, dreams and synchronicities for revealing the working of the psychic (or inner) life. Dreams are seen as spontaneous product of the psyche. A depth orientation may also invite attention to the dimension of spirituality as a means of discovering a deeper experience of wholeness.

Along with my "Depth or Jungian" orientation. I incorporate other models and theories. These include: humanistic, existential, psychoanalytic, Gestalt, Body Centered and Cognitive Behavioral. I am currently taking new patients and welcome your inquiries. Please contact me for an initial session.
