The Boulder Psychotherapy Institute is a hub for therapist community building and networking in the Boulder-Denver area. Therapists and graduate students of all orientations are invited to use our free Networking List, Community Calendar, Find a Local Therapist service, and to attend our Annual Networking Party.
The BPI Networking List includes over 600 local therapists who post professional announcements (via a moderator) for forwarding to the entire group. The service is free and is forwarded in plain text only. Professional announcements can include - lectures, groups, trainings, workshops, office space, referral needs, employment opportunities, publications and other professional matters. Therapists new to the list are invited to announce their practice. BPI announces its own trainings, workshops and (annually) the invitation to our networking party. If you're looking to find or lease-out office space, this is a good way to do it. Referral needs are often posted on the list - so attention to postings may provide referrals to your practice. It's a great way to get professional information to other therapists in a hurry. Join the List.
Find a Local Therapist is a therapist referral directory of free (Basic) and paid (Extended) listings for local therapists. It is aimed at the general public - and we plan to promote it extensively to the local community as a site for finding local therapists and information about therapy.
Basic Entries are free. They include your name, address, phone number, credentials and up to 850 characters (or about 160 words) describing your practice or organization/company. Sign up for a basic entry.
Extended Entries include much more. You will find that your extended entry can serve as an effective portal to your other web presences. It can also serve as your prestigious stand alone web page. It includes your picture and a virtually unlimited number of words to describe your practice. Your ad will rotate into the "Featured Therapist" box on our Home Page. We provide a safe "email" link - your address is invisible. Your Extended entry will link to our search menu so that clients may find you by using a variety of search categories. There is a space for your groups (with descriptions), calendar events, publications and presentations. The extended page displays your website link. You may also link to pages that display information about you practice, presentations, publications, articles, books (as links to a web site or Amazon.com), book chapters, or videos (You Tube). You can link to other relevant professional sites that contain material useful to your clients. Extended entries are $150 a year or $15 a month. View an example of an extended entry. Community Calendar: The Community Calendar is a new free service offered by the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute. We invite you to list your upcoming professional lectures, workshops, groups, and other psychotherapy-related events with title, date, phone contact information and links to your website for more information. The basic calendar on the Home Page lists the most recent upcoming events. It opens to an extended calendar that lists all events with short descriptions. Add a listing. View the calendar. Annual Networking Party: Our Networking Party is a get-together of mental health professionals and interested others. It is held annually on the Sunday preceding Labor Day weekend. Therapists of all orientations are welcome. Spouses, friends and graduate students are welcome, too. Bring business cards, flyers, brochures, and other professional material. We'll provide a table to display materials and food and drink. Over 200 therapists usually attend the annual party at the end of August each year. People tell us that they find it a relaxed fun experience as well as a way to make professional contacts. RSVP.
