www.boulderpsych.com The Boulder Psychotherapy Institute (BPI), in Boulder, Colorado, has been training therapists and graduate students in Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP) since 1989. AEP interlaces the insights of contemporary existential and psychodynamic approaches with techniques inspired by Gestalt and other experiential therapies. Jungian and expressive arts orientations may be included in some workshops. Our faculty and staff also provide individual, couples and group therapy - and supervision. We are a hub for therapist community building - and a center for referrals in the Boulder-Denver area. We offer services to both local therapists and the public. Over six hundred therapists use our free networking opportunities. The public is invited to use Find a Therapist to search for information about local therapists and therapy.

Peter Strong - Mindfulness Meditation Therapy (MMT) is a powerful way of working with difficult emotions such as depression and anxiety, recurrent fear, phobias, grief and anger by using the natural healing effects of mindfulness. Unlike other approaches that use mindfulness to facilitate relaxation, MMT applies mindfulness directly to the underlying felt sense of an emotional reaction, thus establishing an open and non-reactive mindfulness based relationship with the emotional complex. This provides an ideal environment for transformation and resolution. Peter Strong, trained in the UK and US teaches classes on MMT to psychotherapists, physicians and health workers. Peter also offers MMT sessions for individuals and couples. Email enquirties welcome. 970-492-5198 (cell).
