Monthly Individual and Group Supervision/Consultation
Betty Cannon Jaylynne Chase-Jacobsen Deborah Bowman Reed Lindberg Supervision/Consultation offered by the Institute is practical, dynamic, hands-on experiential work to help you find useful interventions for working with your clients. Supervision/consultation is a place to: Ø Discuss professional and practice building issues. Ø Consider diagnosis and other treatment issues. Ø Discuss and role-play clients to get a hands-on sense of appropriate interventions. Ø Consider the direction of treatment. Ø Work out dilemmas related to transference and client-therapist relationship issues. Ø Work with countertransference or therapist issues that keep you stuck with a client. Ø Discuss ethical dilemmas and questions. Ø Build support and community with other professionals. Supervision counts toward Colorado state licensure. Licensed professionals are welcome and often find group and individual consultation helpful. The Institute’s Directors, Betty Cannon, Ph.D. (303-494-0393) and Deborah Bowman, Ph.D. (303-440-0808), senior faculty member, Jaylynne Chase-Jakcobsen, L.C.S.W., and Managing Director, Reed Lindberg, M.A., L.P.C. (303-494-0393) offer individual and group supervision/consultation. Individual Supervision: Individual supervision consists of an hour or more of individual time each month with the supervisor discussing client and other practice issues. Cost is the individual practitioner’s hourly rate. Group Supervision: Private practice can sometimes be lonely. If you are looking for collegiality and a place to discuss practice and other professional issues, our supervision/consultation groups may be the place for you. The group itself contains a wealth of knowledge and professional skills that we are able to share with each other. Each group is limited to four members and meets for two hours a month. Openings come up from time to time in existing groups, and we often start new groups if there is enough interest. Cost is $60 per two hour group. Call or e-mail us for a consultation to set up an appointment to see if our styles and orientations are compatible. We can be reached at 303-494-0393 or BPI.training (at) boulderpsych.com. |
